SWEEPSTAKES DATES
The Sweepstakes entry period begins at 9:00:01 p.m. PT on Sunday, January 5, 2014 and ends on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 11:59:59 a.m. PT(“Entry Period”). All entries must be submitted and received within this time period.  All Rounds in this Sweepstakes (see below) begin at 12:00:01 a.m. PT and end at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on the dates listed below, with the exception of Round 4, whichi ends at 11:59:59 a.m. PT. Any entries not received within the time periods indicated in these rules will be disqualified. The computer clock of Sponsor’s webmaster is the official timekeeping device of the Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

Watch for one (1) code word during the news broadcasts listed below at the local times and dates indicated in the chart that are appropriate to your eligible market:

The code words will be provided during the broadcast of the shows listed above. After the code word is announced, go to www.criticschoicetrip.com to enter the code word for that Round and complete and submit the online entry form. You must provide all information requested on the entry form, and you must have a valid e-mail account in order for your entry to be qualified. Incomplete entries will be disqualified and Sponsors are not responsible for online entries that are lost, late, garbled, deleted or misdirected as a result of technical, internet or other online difficulties. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the holder of the e-mail account will be deemed the person who submitted the entry. Limit one entry per household/email address per Round. Subsequent entries from the same email address within a given Round will be deleted. Multiple entries from the same person with a Round will be disqualified. Sponsor will make any and all final decisions in any and all issues related to this Sweepstakes, and their decisions shall be final and binding in all respects.

ELIGIBILITY
This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. citizens of age 18 years or older at the time of his/her entry residing in the Designated Market Area (as defined by The Nielsen Company) of WPIX-TV, New York, NY, KTLA-TV,  Los Angeles, CA, or  WGN-TV, Chicago, IL, and resides in one of the following states:

• New York
• New Jersey
• Connecticut
• California
• Illinois
• Indiana

Employees of Sponsor, WPIX-TV, KTLA-TV, WGN-TV, and any entity involved in the creation, promotion or administration of the Sweepstakes, their parent corporations, subsidiaries, or affiliates, and such employees’ immediate family, household members or relatives are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes. For the purposes of this Sweepstakes, relatives are defined as mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren.

PRIZE AND WINNER SELECTION
On January 9, 2014 at approximately 12:30 p.m. PT, all valid entries in this sweepstakes will be separated into three (3) separate pools, based on the States (meaning U.S. States) given in each entry, as follows:

·         Entry Pool #1 will contain entries whose entrant resides  in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut

·         Entry Pool #2 will contain entries whose entrant resides in Illinois or Indiana

·         Entry Pool #3 will contain entries whose entrant resides in California

One (1) Winner will be selected from each of the three (3) entry pools in a random drawing conducted by KTLA or someone designated by KTLA. There will be a total of three (3) Winners in this sweepstakes. The odds of winning depend on the number of qualifying entries in each entry pool listed above.

The Winners selected from Entry Pool #1 and Entry Pool #2 will each receive the following:

1)     Economy-class roundtrip airfare for two (2) people between the Sponsor's selected major airport near Winner's residence, and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on an airline of Sponsor's choosing.

2)     Two (2) nights of hotel accommodations for two (2) people in a double-occupancy room at the Huntley Hotel, 1111 Second Street, Santa Monica, CA 90403 for the nights of January 15 and January 16, 2014

3)     Spectator admission for Winners only (and not for guests of the Winners) to the Red Carpet area of the 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar, 3021 Airport Ave #203, Santa Monica, CA 90405 ("Barker Hangar") on the afternoon of January 16, 2014.

4)     Spectator admission for two (2) people to the 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony at Barker Hangar on January 16, 2014.

The Winner selected from Entry Pool #3 will receive the following:

1)     Round-trip ground transportation between the Winner's residence and the Huntley Hotel (see below)

2)     Two (2) nights of hotel accommodations for two (2) people in a double-occupancy room at the Huntley Hotel, 1111 Second Street, Santa Monica, CA 90403 ("Huntley Hotel") for the nights of January 15 and January 16, 2014

3)     Spectator admission for Winners only (and not for guests of the Winners) to the Red Carpet area of the 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar on the afternoon of January 16, 2014.

4)     Spectator admission for two people to the 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony at Barker Hangar on January 16, 2014.

Odds of winning depend on number of entries received in each pool.

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the entire prize package is $1,400.00.  Any difference between actual value and stated ARV will not be awarded.    Winner will receive a Form 1099 for any prize with a value of $600 or more. 

Sponsor also reserves the right, but is not required, to provide additional products and/or services as part of the prize package at their discretion. Prizes are awarded “as is”, with no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, by Sponsor. All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize, as well as all other costs or expenses involved in or associated with the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash and prize substitution will not be allowed, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for the prize.

Winner will be notified that he or she has been selected by telephone and/or e-mail. If Sponsors are unable to contact the Winner to notify him or her that he or she has won within four (4) hours of being selected as winner, or if any notification or prize is rejected or returned as undeliverable, for any reason beyond Sponsor’s control, the winner’s prize may be forfeited and a substitute winner may be selected.

The Winner may be required to present valid and documented proof of age, identity and eligibility to sign additional documentation in order to receive the prize. If the winner does not fulfill these requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a substitute winner may be selected.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion of the Sweepstakes. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES. Information submitted in Internet entries, including entrant's name, address, e-mail address, etc., may be used by Sponsors listed above for marketing or promotional purposes.

Sponsor reserves the right not to display code words onscreen due to the coverage of breaking news or other unforeseen circumstances.  Should sponsor choose not to display code words on any day, in any location, during the Sweepstakes Period for reasons listed above, sponsors reserve the right (but are not required) to do one of the following:

a) Select additional winners on other days of the Sweepstakes Period so that the total number of winners over the entire Sweepstakes Period will be 74.

b) Extend the Sweepstakes Period so that the code words not displayed as originally scheduled may be displayed at a different time and/or on a different day

c) Display the code words during another news broadcast

d) Take no action

Any and all schedule changes for the display of code words will be listed at www.criticschoicetrip.com.

The Prize package (or any part thereof) is not replaceable if lost or stolen, non-transferable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise.  If Winner does not use all elements of prize, there will be no reimbursement. If the Awards is cancelled, no substitute prizes are available except at Sponsor’s sole discretion

By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to have their name, photograph, voice, biographical information, and likeness used in any and all media for promotional purposes relating to this Sweepstakes or future similar Sweepstakes without further compensation or notice, except as prohibited by law.

By participating in this Sweepstakes, you represent that you agree to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of the judges and to release and indemnify Sponsor, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from your participation in this Sweepstakes and your acceptance and use of any prize.

Neither the failure of Sponsor to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Official Rules or the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor in exercising any right with respect to any term of these Official Rules, will be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of each Sponsor’s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance.
