CONTEST DATES
The contest begins at 12:00:01 p.m. PT on Friday, March 25, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 a.m. PT on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. All entries must be submitted and received within this time period. Any entries not received within this time period will be disqualified. The computer clock of Sponsor’s webmaster is the official timekeeping device of the Contest.
HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter by visiting www.ktla.com/realityrocks and completing and submitting the online entry form. You must provide all information requested on the entry form, and you must have a valid e-mail account in order for your entry to be qualified. Incomplete entries will be disqualified and KTLA is not responsible for online entries that are lost, late, garbled, deleted or misdirected as a result of technical, internet or other online difficulties. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the holder of the e-mail account will be deemed the person who submitted the entry. Limit one entry per household. Subsequent entries from the same email address will be deleted. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. Sponsors will make any and all final decisions in any and all issues related to this Contest, and their decisions shall be final and binding in all respects.
ELIGIBILITY
This contest is void where prohibited by law. This contest is open only to legal residents of California, who are 18 years of age or older as of March 24, 2011. Employees of Sponsor and its parent corporation, subsidiaries, or affiliates, and such employees’ immediate family or household members are not eligible to enter or win the contest.
PRIZE AND WINNER SELECTION
Ten (10) winners will be selected in a random drawing among all qualifying entries, conducted by KTLA or someone designated by KTLA, on or about April 6, 2011. The odds of winning depend on the number of qualifying entries received. The winner will receive one admission ticket to the “Reality Rocks Expo” (the “Expo”) at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015, for April 9 and one admission ticket for the Expo on April 10, 2011.
Approximate retail value of each pair of tickets is $70.00 (USD). Sponsors reserve the right to alter or cancel any part of the prize package due to inclement weather, overbooking, mechanical failure, acts of God or other unforeseen circumstances. Sponsors also reserve the right, but are not required, to provide additional products and/or services as part of the prize package at their discretion. Prizes are awarded as is, with no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, by Sponsor. All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize, as well as all other costs or expenses involved in or associated with the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash and prize substitution will not be allowed, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for the prize.
Winner is responsible for items of a personal nature, ground transportation, hotels, meals (other than those specified), gratuities and all other expenses not covered within the prize package.
Each Winner will be notified that he or she has been selected by telephone and/or e-mail. If Sponsors are unable to contact the Winner to notify him or her that he or she has won within twelve (12) hours of being selected as winner, or if any notification or prize is rejected or returned as undeliverable, for any reason beyond Sponsor’s control, the winner’s prize may be forfeited and a substitute winner will be selected.
The Winner may be required to present valid identification and to sign additional documentation in order to receive the prize. If the winner does not fulfill these requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a substitute winner may be selected.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the contest or any portion of the contest. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE CONTEST. Information submitted in Internet entries, including entrant's name, address, e-mail address, etc., may be used by KTLA TV for marketing or promotional purposes.
By participating in this contest, you agree to have your name, photograph, voice, biographical information, and likeness used in any and all media for promotional purposes relating to this contest or future similar contests without further compensation or notice, except as prohibited by law.
By participating in this contest, you represent that you agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges and to release Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from your participation in this contest and your acceptance and use of any prize.
For a copy of the Official Rules or the name of the winners, send a self-addressed envelope to “Reality Rocks Giveaway 2011”, KTLA-TV, Creative Services, 5800 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90028, by June 1, 2011. A list of the winners’ names will be available after the winners have been verified and the prizes have been awarded.
